American Red Cross Holocaust and War Victims Tracing and Information CenterOccasionally broadcasts "SEARCHES" from people in the Allgenerations list, putting out names of missing relatives, family names, names of hometowns, camps, ghettoes and any other pertinent information, in order to connect people who have been lost to each other. The Brest Ghetto Passport ArchiveThe site includes the index to the Avotaynu periodical which began in 1985. It also includes the monograph "How to Document Victims and Locate Survivors of the Holocaust" and a five-minute guide to Jewish genealogy research.

Jewish Records Indexing-Poland (JRI-Poland)
A searchable on-line database of the indices of 19th century Jewish records from current and former territories of Poland. Where such records are available, they may include towns that are now part of Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus. If a researcher finds the index of a desired record, instructions are provided about how to obtain the actual record. These indices are taken from two major sources. The first is the indexing of the LDS microfilmed records, comprising about 2,000 films from more than 500 towns and villages. The second, launched in early 1998, is the JRI-Poland / Polish State Archives Project. While the LDS films contain approximately two million records, there are an estimated additional five to seven million 19th century records that were not filmed. Generally, these cover the last 25-35 years of the 19th century, when many of our grandparents and great-grandparents lived in Poland. Only records more than 100 years old are available for this indexing project. Additional years are added as they become available for indexing. The site also contains indices from a few other sources such as Polish newspapers, town lists, etc.
